Carlos Lwanga is a communicator specializing in digital content design with over ten years of experience working in a variety of media professions and industries. Skilled in writing, copywriting, and graphics design; Carlos Lwanga’s work emphasizes quality assurance and timely delivery.
He began his career as a radio presenter for a sports talk show on Magic FM and acquired the art of directly appealing to one’s audience. He also worked as copywriter for Aggrey & Clifford, an African advertising and marketing firm where he produced radio advertisements for KCB Uganda, Nile Gold, Total Uganda and Econet Wireless. He, then, worked as a freelancer, producing campaigns/video content for Roofings International; and online content development work for Buqisi-Ruux, an African women’s shoe company; and Roundbob, a Uganda tourism travel aggregator. He also worked as a coordinator for an event called Expert Talks which brought experts from different fields to talk about their experiences, knowledge and skills with the general public in a relaxed and corporate event.
His award portfolio includes – A commendation by the judges of the BBC International Playwright Competition for his play ‘Possessions’ and a certificate of excellence from the fourth screenwriters Lab organized by Maisha.
Certificates of Excellence and Participation from the UCU Students Guild Government as a Public Relations Officer and one presented to the Uganda Christian University team for reaching the Uganda National Qualifying Tournament at the Zain Africa Challenge. Another from the Daily Monitor CHOGM TEENS program as a teen reporter for the paper during the Commonwealth Heads of Government General Meeting held in Kampala in 2007.
