Critics generally agree the 2007 Mercedes Benz E-Class lives up to its advertised image as a perfect blend of luxury sedan and sports car capabilities. Updated for 2007, the E-Class comes with numerous safety features, which helps it maintain its position as "one of the most capable, most luxurious and safest vehicles on the road," according to Edmunds. It's "unquestionably the most popular luxury executive sedan on the global market today," says Automobile.com. While it faces stiff competition from the Audi A6 and the BMW 5-Series (which receives an update for 2008), the Mercedes E-Class is thought to hold its own in both luxury and performance driving. The 2007 E-Class updates, according to Road and Track, have given this already "darn fine automobile" a "finer edge."
