Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior carpenters with daily tasks, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
Prepare work areas, set up tools, and organize materials for the day's projects.
Assemble and install wooden structures such as frames, shelving, cabinets, and doors.
Operate power tools (saws, drills, sanders) safely, following all safety procedures.
Maintain tools and clean the workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Requirements & Skills
Requirements
Experience: 0–2 years of experience in carpentry (apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus).
Skills: Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, measurement tools, and wood properties.
Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
Attitude: Willingness to learn, take direction from seniors, and work as part of a team.
Safety: Strong focus on workplace safety and awareness.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
A craftsman certificate in carpentry and joinery from a recognised institution.
