Plant zucchini seeds 1 inch deep in nutrient-rich, well-draining soil once temperatures consistently reach at least 60–70°F. Space plants 24–36 inches apart to allow for vigorous growth. Direct sowing is preferred, as zucchini dislikes transplanting. Expect germination within 7–14 days and harvests to begin in approximately 45–55 days. Keep soil consistently moist and provide full sun for the best yields.
