Elbow crutches, also called forearm crutches or Lofstrand crutches, are mobility aids that support an individual by taking weight off their lower limbs. They consist of a single shaft with a cuff that encircles the forearm, an ergonomic handgrip for support, and an anti-slip tip on the bottom. Elbow crutches are adjustable for height and are used by people who need help with balance, have reduced strength, or are recovering from an injury that requires partial or non-weight bearing on one or both legs.
