Jordan 4 was designed by Tinker Hatfield with extensive input from Michael Jordan. Lookwise, it prefigures some trends that would get big in the 1990s, using molded plastic pieces and plenty of mesh. It's a very different aesthetic from the Jordan 1. However, this shoe was really built for performance.
