Responsibilities
A.Goat Rearing & Health
1.Manage daily feeding, forage collection, and clean water supply.
2.Maintain clean, sanitized goat pens and manage manure.
3.Monitor herd health daily, and be able to contact the farm vet incase of any issues.
B.Coffee Plantation Care
1.Perform weed control to maximize yield.
2.Inspect trees for pests or diseases (e.g., leaf rust) and apply appropriate treatments.
3.Pick mature coffee cherries carefully and assist with post-harvest drying/processing.
C.Banana Plantation Maintenance
1.Prune dead leaves, remove excess suckers, and weed banana stools.
2.Apply manure from the goat pens and mulch mats to maintain soil fertility.
3.Prop heavy banana stems to prevent wind damage and harvest mature bunches safely.
Requirements & Skills
Livestock & Goat Care:
1.Proven experience in daily goat management, forage preparation, health monitoring and pen hygiene
Coffee Plantation Expertise:
1. Hands-on skill in coffee tree pruning, desuckering, pest identification, and proper cherry harvesting.
Banana Plantation Management:
1.Knowledge of stool desuckering, leaf pruning, stem propping, mulching, and safe bunch harvesting.
Soil Fertility & Organic Manure Use:
1.Experience applying farm manure and mulching techniques to boost crop yields naturally.
Tool Handling & Equipment Care:
1.Ability to safely use and maintain basic farming tools (machetes/pangas, pruning shears, hoes, and sprayers).
2. Physical Fitness & Reliability: Strong work ethic, physical stamina for field labor, and strong attention to daily farm routines.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Primary or Secondary Education Certificate (PLE/UCE) preferred; formal agricultural or farm management training is a strong added advantage.
Physically fit and capable of handling demanding outdoor farm labor, heavy lifting, and manual tasks.
