Responsibilities
Controlling the entry and exit of vehicles, visitors, and staff at the main gate.Checking and verifying visitor identification and keeping a clear logbook record.Conducting regular patrols around the property premises to ensure maximum security.Locking up doors, windows, and gates securely at the designated closing times.Reporting any unusual movements, safety hazards, or security incidents immediately
Requirements & Skills
High level of integrity, alertness, and strong sense of responsibility.Good communication and customer service skills when welcoming visitors.Ability to stay focused and observant during long shifts.Strong physical fitness and health to perform security duties.Basic handwriting skills to maintain the gate logbook properly.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Minimum of a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE / O-Level) preferred.Ability to speak and understand basic English and the local language.Prior experience working as a gate man, watchman, or security guard is an added advantage.Must provide valid local identification (National ID) and letters of recommendation/referees

Open and close the gate promptly for residents, staff, and authorized visitors.Screen all incoming visitors, deliveries, and vehicles before granting entry.Maintain a visitor logbook by recording names, vehicle plates, and entry/exit times.Patrol the compound regularly to ensure the property remains secure.Report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches to the supervisor immediately.
