Key Responsibilities
Water young coffee plants and newly planted matoke when necessary.
Apply manure or fertilizer as instructed.
Plant and maintain matoke (banana) according to recommended farming practices.
Replace dead coffee or banana plants when required.
Prune coffee plants and remove diseased or damaged branches.
Monitor crops for pests and diseases and report any problems.
Dig planting holes and prepare land for new crops.
Keep farm tools clean, safe, and in good working condition.
Maintain cleanliness of the farm and surrounding areas.
Follow instructions from the farm owner or supervisor.
Observe health and safety practices while working.
Skills and Requirements
Basic knowledge of coffee and banana farming.
Ability to use common farm tools such as hoes, pangas, slashers, and watering cans.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
Hardworking, honest, reliable, and disciplined.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Description – Garden Worker / Farm Attendant
A Garden Worker / Farm Attendant is responsible for maintaining the farm and ensuring that coffee and matoke (banana) crops are healthy and productive. The worker will carry out daily activities such as cleaning the garden, removing weeds, planting and caring for young coffee and matoke plants, watering crops when necessary, applying manure or fertilizer, and monitoring crops for pests and diseases. The position also involves maintaining farm tools, keeping the farm clean, and following instructions from the farm owner or supervisor. The successful candidate should be hardworking, reliable, physically fit, and committed to supporting good agricultural practices to improve crop growth and farm productivity.
