Responsibilities
Rig Setup: Transport, position, and level drilling rigs and support equipment at project sites.Machine Operation: Control drilling speeds, air flow, and tool pressure to bore holes to specific depths.Fluid Management: Monitor slush pumps and drilling mud circulation to keep the well stable.Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily checks on fuel, oil, and hydraulic levels, and fix minor mechanical issues.Site Safety: Follow safety rules and secure the work area to protect the crew.Data Recording: Keep daily logs of drilling progress, depths reached, and soil or rock samples collected
Requirements & Skills
Education: A certificate in borehole drilling, mechanical engineering, or a related vocational field.Experience: Two to five years of hands-on experience running drill rigs or heavy equipment.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems.Physical Fitness: Ability to work long hours outdoors in demanding weather and lift heavy tools.
