The 1KR-FE Vitz 1.0 engine used in KSP90 (2005-2010) and KSP130 (2010 onwards) is the same 996cc inline 3-cylinder 12-valve DOHC engine with VVT-i, aluminium block and head, 71.0x84.0mm bore and stroke, 10.5:1 compression ratio, 1-2-3 firing order, EFI with regular petrol, producing 69-71 PS at 6000 rpm and 92-94 Nm torque at 3600-4800 rpm with a 6500 rpm redline and 700 rpm idle, using 3 direct ignition coils with Denso SC20HR11 or NGK ILKAR7B11 iridium plugs, needing 3.1L of 0W-20 oil with filter and 4.8L coolant, returning 20-24 km/l fuel economy, and mated to a K410 CVT or 5-speed manual gearbox with only slight ECU tuning differences between the KSP90 and KSP130 versions.
