Kale or leaf cabbage, belongs to a group of cabbage cultivars grown for their edible leaves, although some are used as ornamentals. Kale plants have green or purple leaves, and the central leaves do not form a head (as with headed cabbage).
Long, dark, crinkled kale that grows absolutely enormous leaves measuring almost 2' long. Matures from grey to green to a final deep shade of forest-green, almost black! Exceptionally sweet, rich flavor sets this kale apart. Harvest at 6".
