High yielding and pungent
Brother seed is an early variety (60 – 75 days) with high vigour and good heat set. The strong plant vigour and good harvest continuity make this variety very productive. The fruit have a blocky shape with an average fruit length of 4- 5 cm and an average fruit weight of 12 – 15 grams. The fruit are pungent with a good aroma. The immature fruit are a light green colour (preferred in the market), while the mature fruit have a glossy red colour. The fruits have a very good shelf life after harvest. Mawenzili RZ was selected for outdoor cultivation but can be grown successfully indoors.
