Double Black is crafted to deliver a deep, brooding intensity by incorporating a higher proportion of heavily peated West Coast and Islay malts, alongside maturation in deeply charred oak casks:
Nose: Heavy campfire smoke, charred wood, sweet vanilla, dark honey, and clove.
Palate: Rich and full-bodied. Swirls of peat smoke give way to dried fruits, creamy toffee, and warming spices like black pepper.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering peat smoke, oak tannins, and cracked pepper.
Black Label.Age Statement: Classic Black Label carries a 12-year age statement, meaning every whisky in the blend is at least 12 years old.
The Bottle: Unlike the traditional clear glass bottle of the standard range, Double Black comes packaged in a sleek, charcoal-tinted translucent bottle.
