Millers Falls Model B Electric Drill – A Classic Mid-Century American Power Tool This is a vintage Millers Falls Model B electric drill, a solid and representative example of mid-20th-century American toolmaking from the Millers Falls Company of Greenfield, Massachusetts. Founded in 1868, Millers Falls built a strong reputation first for high-quality hand tools such as braces, hand drills, and planes, then expanded into electric power tools beginning in the mid-1920s. By the postwar decades the company was producing a full range of portable electric tools under its own name and later the Dyno-Mite branding. The Model B belongs to this practical, work-oriented era of design: functional, robustly constructed, and intended for years of regular service rather than short-term consumer use.
