Turn off the mixer before changing gear speeds. Shifting speeds while the motor is spinning will shear the internal gear teeth over time.Keep the wire safety cage fully locked during operation. The motor will automatically cut power or refuse to start if the guard is open.Lower the bowl entirely using the side lever before removing attachments. This prevents bending the mixing shafts against the stainless steel bowl rim.Avoid overloading past maximum flour limits. Over-packing dense bread dough stresses the motor and causes internal gear slippage.
