A bill counter (also called a currency counting machine) is an electronic device that automatically counts paper money. You place a stack of bills into the machine, and it rapidly flips through them to calculate the total number. Many modern bill counters can also detect counterfeit notes, sort by denomination, and spot damaged bills.
