Responsibilities
* On-Ground & Grassroots Marketing
* Drive direct B2B and B2C customer acquisition campaigns across target neighborhoods and commercial hubs.
* Execute field activations, promotional events, flyer distribution, and corporate outreach to drive subscription memberships.
Role Overview:
As a Marketing Specialist at Akilion you will be the driving force behind brand awareness, customer acquisition (both individual and b2b), and community engagement. * You will bridge the gap between high-energy grassroots/on-ground marketing and modern digital growth strategies, driving traction for our holding brands and consumer hubs.
* Build and nurture community relations with local businesses, commuter networks, and fleet operators.
* Collect real-time customer feedback on the ground to refine sales pitches and campaign offering
Requirements & Skills
* Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Luganda.
* Digital Expertise: Hands-on experience with social media management toolsDesign & Web Skills (Preferred).
* Basic to intermediate web design/CMS skills (WordPress, Webflow, or basic HTML/CSS) and graphic design proficiency.
* Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, street-smart, and capable of working both independently in the field and collaboratively in the office.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
1–3+ years of proven experience in digital marketing, field sales, or brand activation.
